In an ongoing effort to improve our products, MTH will soon begin
replacing electroless nickel plating with Teflon coating on T51 and
T41 iron pump components. The Teflon coating has been selected for
its corrosion resistance, reduced startup friction, and to some degree,
improvement of abrasion and wear resistance. MTH has completed side-by-side
testing of our pumps for performance and shelf life using today’s
electroless nickel coating, as well as Teflon, hard chrome, black
oxide, and natural (no coatings). Of those, we found that the best
results
came from the Teflon coating. The changeover should begin in the
next couple of weeks and will continue over several months as existing
stock
is replaced. Please feel free to contact the factory for more information.

2010.07.29 - Product Update Announcement |
MTH T Series Pumps have a new look!
Through years of production, our engineers have developed a new
method of pouring our stainless steel castings on our T Series Pumps
that allow for a more consistent casting. While this new look does
not effect dimensions or performance, we felt it was our responsibility
to let you know that we are committed to bring you the best possible
products in the market.
At this Time, only T31 Series and T51 Series are utilizing this
new casting and will be filtered in as our old stock is depleted.

T31 New Casting Design

Although performance and dimensions remain unchanged, there are
major advantages to this casting change in the T51 Series. The flat
area along the top of the new cover allows for top mounted suction
or gas/liquid injection port options. The option of a top suction
inlet instead of the front inlet makes the pump more universally
adaptable for different installation configurations. The optional
vent port on the top can be utilized as an air vent to ensure the
pump is free of air prior to initial start-up, suction pressure readings,
or gas injection.

2010.02.12 - New Product Announcement |
For years, MTH has offered the 150/160/170
series regenerative turbine pumps in all of our
available materials except the 170 family (a close relative to
the 150/160). The 170 series has never been offered in stainless
steel...
Until Now!!!
We
are proud to offer the 170K model in single stage up to four
stage configurations, as well as the low NPSH 270 inducer option.
We are pretty excited about this offering! If you look at the performance
curve, you will see that the 170K can often be selected where
a 170J or H may have been used (again, only the K will be available
for the immediate future), so we are pleased with how this will
fill a previous void for stainless steel pumps in the MTH lineup!
The 174K (our largest model) can reach heads up to 1150 feet and
produce capacities to 150 gallons per minute. |
